70% of our LA clients are on biweekly. It is the sweet spot between weekly (always reset) and monthly (playing catch-up every time).
Typical biweekly result in a 3-bedroom Brentwood home. No catch-up needed, no deep-clean upcharge.
Address, bedroom and bathroom count, pets, floor types, and any add-ons. Quote back in under an hour — flat, final, and written down.
Choose Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, Thursday, or Friday. Every-other-week on that same day. Morning, midday, or afternoon window.
Same two cleaners every visit. They know your home, your preferences, your pets, and exactly how you like the bed made.
Quick walkthrough or photo check on completion. Anything missed gets re-cleaned free within 24 hours. No questions, no drama.
A dozen LA cleaning services will quote you. Here is why our clients stick around for years.
Two weeks is the outer edge of what a well-used LA home can go without a reset. Our biweekly cadence keeps you ahead without the weekly-level commitment.
Dedicated two-person crew assigned to your home. They are not rotating between 40 homes — they are on your route, every other Tuesday.
Month to month. Skip visits, pause for travel, cancel whenever. We earn your next booking by showing up on this one.
If a room is not up to standard, text us within 24 hours and the same crew comes back to fix it free. We stand behind the work.
Commercial HEPA vacuums, microfiber cloths by color-coded zone, pH-neutral floor solutions, and surface-specific products. Nothing borrowed from your cabinet.
Non-toxic products on every job by default. Our crew is trained around pets, coded gates, and routines so we do not disrupt nap time or the dog.
Same crew, same standards, from the Westside to the Valley. Tap your neighborhood for local specifics.
Biweekly cleaning in Los Angeles is the default schedule for a reason. It is the cadence that balances cost, control, and quality for the widest range of LA households — and it is the one 70% of our clients choose and stay on. The logic is simple. Weekly is ideal for high-mess households but feels overkill to empty-nesters and solo professionals. Monthly almost never works in LA, because the city generates more dust, dander, and residue than any monthly schedule can absorb. Every-other-week lands in the middle, and for a well-built 1-3 bedroom home without multiple pets, it is the right answer.
What does biweekly actually look like in practice? Our crew arrives every other week, on the same weekday, in the same morning or afternoon window. A 3-bedroom takes about two and a half hours with two cleaners. We run the full kitchen: counters sanitized, backsplash, stovetop, microwave inside, outside of major appliances, sink and faucet descaled. We run all bathrooms hard: toilet, tub, shower glass, tile, vanity, mirrors, floor. Every bedroom is dusted, made, vacuumed. Every common area surface is wiped, every floor type treated with the right product. You come home to a home that does not smell like chemicals, because our products are biodegradable and low-VOC.
Biweekly pricing at The Detail Crew is flat by bedroom count — $155, $188, $245 — and it does not change based on day of week, neighborhood, or whether it is a holiday. That matters. Many LA services quote you $150 and then add $25 for weekend, $15 for traffic, $20 for stairs, $30 for pets, and suddenly your 'flat rate' is $240. We do not do that. One number, written down, paid on completion. If the visit runs long we absorb it. If the home is smaller than expected we do not credit you back — and you do not pay more for a bigger-than-expected one either. The rate is the rate.
The way to get the most value from biweekly cleaning is to start with a one-time deep clean. A deep clean catches everything biweekly is not designed to catch: baseboards in detail, inside the oven, inside the fridge, grout scrubbing, blinds slat by slat, window tracks, light fixtures disassembled and washed. Price is typically $290-450 depending on home size and condition. After that reset, the biweekly rate maintains — and because the home is already clean, our crew spends the full two and a half hours on quality rather than catch-up. Clients who skip the first deep clean often report that biweekly feels like it is falling behind for the first month. It is not — it is just working through residual build-up. A proper deep-clean start prevents that.
A few household types where biweekly is a particularly strong fit. Professional couples without kids and without pets. Empty-nesters in paid-off Westside homes. Work-from-home knowledge workers who care about their space but do not generate much mess. Airbnb operators who do their own turnovers and just want biweekly maintenance between guests. Bungalows and condos in Silver Lake, Los Feliz, West Hollywood, and Culver City — homes in the 1,200 to 2,000 sq ft range where biweekly genuinely keeps up. For these clients, biweekly is not a compromise — it is the correct frequency, and upgrading to weekly would be paying for visits the home does not need.
Biweekly also works particularly well when paired with a rotating deep-focus approach. Each biweekly visit we rotate an extra detail: visit one is baseboards, visit two is inside oven, visit three is light fixtures, visit four is interior windows. This rotation keeps the home in near-deep-clean condition year-round without paying for a quarterly deep clean. Most of our biweekly clients use this system, and most realtors who recommend us to their sellers recommend it specifically for this reason — a home on biweekly with rotation is always in semi-showing condition.
A common question: how does biweekly compare to hiring a solo housekeeper at $30/hour? The total cost is often similar — a 2.5-hour biweekly with two cleaners is 5 labor-hours, which at $30/hour independent would also be about $150. The differences are structural. With The Detail Crew you get W-2 employees with workers comp, a liability and bonding policy that covers damages (independents usually do not), a guaranteed re-clean if something is missed, insured supplies and equipment, and a replacement team if your regular crew gets sick. You also do not become the employer of record with 1099 reporting obligations. For most LA households, especially anyone paying attention to risk, the structure is worth the identical price.
Biweekly clients stay with us an average of 2.1 years. That is the highest retention of any schedule we run, including weekly, and it is the cleanest indicator that biweekly is the cadence that just works for most LA homes. If you are pricing recurring cleaning for a 1-3 bedroom LA home, biweekly is almost always the right place to start. If it is not enough, you will know inside a month — and we upgrade you to weekly without renegotiating. If it is overkill, we step you down to monthly with a rotating deep-focus pattern. The whole point is finding the cadence that lets you stop thinking about your house, and biweekly is the one that works for the most people.
