Every home we clean is cleaned by a real person on our payroll — not an anonymous subcontractor, not a face you'll never see again. Here is who we are.
Alex started The Detail Crew after twelve years inside other people's cleaning businesses — first as a teenager helping his mother clean homes in Eagle Rock, later running operations for a boutique concierge firm that served Beverly Hills clients.
The pattern he kept noticing: cleaning companies treated their staff like disposable labor, and they treated their clients like recurring line items. Both sides lost. He built The Detail Crew to prove it could work the other way — pay cleaners a real wage, train them well, keep them for years, and let the quality of the work speak for itself.
When he's not at a client home, you'll find Alex at the Silver Lake Farmers' Market with his two kids or tinkering with the 1972 Datsun in his garage.
The four people responsible for making sure every single clean meets the standard.
Founder & CEO
12 years in residential service operations
Alex grew up in East LA cleaning houses with his mother on Saturday mornings. After a decade running operations for a boutique Beverly Hills concierge firm, he started The Detail Crew to bring that same level of care to every zip code in LA — not just the 90210 crowd.
Operations Manager
9 years in hospitality housekeeping leadership
Maria ran the housekeeping floor at a 120-room Santa Monica hotel before joining us. She is the reason nobody on our team works a 10-hour day without a proper break and the reason our on-time rate is 97%.
Head of Training & Quality
IICRC-certified, 14 years in commercial & residential cleaning
David wrote the 47-point checklist we use on every job. If there is a stain in your grout or a film on your marble countertop, he knows the exact product and technique to lift it — without damaging the substrate.
Client Success Lead
7 years in luxury real-estate concierge
Rachel is the voice on the other end of the line when you text the office. She has a thing for color-coded spreadsheets and a zero-tolerance rule for dropped balls.
When you book a clean, one of these faces is at the door — not a stranger pulled off an app 20 minutes before your appointment.
Cleaning looks simple from the outside. Doing it fast, safely, and to a hotel-grade standard is a skilled trade. Here is what that training looks like at The Detail Crew.
Every new hire spends a full week in training — classroom, shadow cleans, and solo ride-alongs with a senior lead — before ever touching a client home solo.
Our leads complete Institute of Inspection, Cleaning & Restoration Certification modules in carpet, upholstery, and hard-surface care.
New products, new surface types, new quality standards — every 90 days, everyone sits back down for four hours of continuing education.
De-escalation, pet safety, boundaries, and client communication. Technical skill is half the job — the other half is being the kind of person you'd want in your home.
The numbers that make this roster look the way it does.
Most cleaning companies in LA run on a razor-thin 1099 model: they scrape margin off each job and churn cleaners every few months. The result is predictable — inconsistent work, zero accountability, and the cleaner in your home today is a stranger you'll never see again.
When your cleaner has been with us for over two years, they know your home. They know which drawer the good knives go in. They know the dog is friendly but barks at vacuums.
Our senior cleaners take home $28-$34 per hour including tips. That's why they stay. That's why they care. That's why your home is clean.
We don't push cleaners to cut corners to hit a per-job time target. Our bonus structure rewards re-booking rate and guarantee-claim rate — both of which depend on doing the job right.
$200/month health stipend and 10 days of paid time off. A tired, sick cleaner is a bad cleaner. We'd rather pay them to stay home.
Same faces, every visit. Request your preferred cleaner when you book — we keep the assignment whenever we can.
