Most cleaning companies list "eco-friendly products" and leave it there. We list the brand, the exact product, what we use it for, and why we chose it over the alternatives.
Cleaning products are the one set of chemicals most people let a stranger spray all over the surfaces their kids touch every day. We take that seriously. Our default kit is built from products that carry third-party certifications — EPA Safer Choice, Green Seal, EWG-verified — and we only add stronger tools when the job genuinely requires them.
The flip side: we refuse to use so-called "natural" products that don't actually work. Vinegar-and-water on a soap-scum shower door is theater, not cleaning. We carry products that meet a dual standard: safer than conventional cleaners and measurably effective against the real mess in LA homes (hard water, wildfire ash, traffic grime).
Grouped by where we use it. Every product here is on our standing PO — not a one-off test or a bait-and-switch.
The tools matter as much as the products. Here's the hardware side.
Sealed HEPA filtration captures particles down to 0.3 microns — dust mite feces, pet dander, pollen, fire-season ash. We replace the HEPA filter every 6 months per the manufacturer spec, not when it looks dirty.
Red for bathrooms, blue for glass, yellow for kitchen, green for everything else. Never cross-contaminated. Laundered in-house at 160°F after every job with fragrance-free detergent.
No open spray bottles riding around in trucks. Every bottle is labeled, dated, and GHS-compliant. Empty bottles are refilled from concentrate — not discarded.
Bona-compatible microfiber pads, washed between every home. We do not use one-time disposable Swiffer-style pads — more waste, worse cleaning.
Short answer: everyone, including pets, kids, and people with respiratory conditions. Long answer below.
Every daily-driver product in our kit is fragrance-free or lightly scented with essential oils, pH-balanced, and will not harm skin on contact. Nothing we spray requires rooms to be vacated.
No ammonia, no pine-sol-class phenols, no essential oils in cat-accessible areas (we swap in unscented alternatives when a feline lives in the home).
Our default kit is fragrance-free on request. HEPA vacuums remove airborne particulates instead of redistributing them. Crew members work in a separate room for 15 min after any stronger product is used.
An honest product list includes the omissions. These are the items you'll never find in a Detail Crew caddy — and the short reasons why.
Some clients have specific products they love — or specific sensitivities beyond what our standard kit accommodates. We will happily use your supplies at no discount (our rate is for the labor, not the product). Just leave a note in your booking or let us know in the pre-clean intake.
We won't use products that are visibly past expiration or that have been mixed/decanted in a way that removes the original label. Safety data sheets are required for unlabeled concentrates.
That's the point. No perfume curtain. Just a genuinely cleaner home.
